I'm curious if anyone has ordered the C200B and if so do you already have it? I preordered from Samys Camera and they haven't given me an update as of yet. I know it's largely based on when canon gets the the units but I just randomly called the cinemaworks division of Samys and the person said they had the c200b then after he had my preorder information he called back and said they only have the c200 model. So if anyone has any insight it would be appreciated

Does anyone know if you can take the EVF off the A and strip it back to being a B
No, you can not. I kinda wish they had made that modular. I'd have gotten the B now and added the EVF later.
I saw that, I just to prefer to buy locally because I like to interact with humans at times

Unless you're exclusively doing gimbal work, and are already invested in monitoring solutions, why would anyone buy the c200b? You're shooting yourself in the foot if you then want to use it traditionally as a B camera. The savings in weight is surely negligible?
Personally in my use cases with my other cinema cameras (c100 mki and c300 mki) I rarely if ever use the evf. Also the evf make the camera longer which means not as easy to breakdown into a smaller bag. If the evf was removable like the c300 line I wouldn't have opted for the B. I already have an external monitor I'm going to use and the only benifit I see in using canons LCD would be that I don't have to have additional power for it. In handheld scenarios, which is often in my case with event work I can't see myself comfortably using the touchscreen for focusing.
