C200: C200B more expensive than C200?

Personally, I plan to get the c200b. I already have external monitor/recorders and the extra money can be used toward the handgrip, an extra battery and maybe a CFAST 2.0 card. I seldom if ever use the evf even though the one on the c200 is nice I'll pass.

How will you carry it without a handle? Or will you buy the handle?

lol, you don't need the handle.

You can carry it by the grip or just hold it with two hands/cradle it if you really need to.

You pros are spoiled!

Spolied would be if I had a PA or AC to carry it ;-) You try lugging your camera up a 6 mile trail in the jungle, fully rigged out at 15lbs, also lugging a heavy Sachtler on your shoulder, the handle is essential for me. I've occasionally done handheld b-roll shoots with a stripped down camera without it but when I have the camera fully kitted with the 70-200 2.8 IS II, Blade, Zacuto EVF, etc. not having the handle is no good. I think carrying it by the grip at 13-15lbs would eventually break it off and cradling it would be asking for a trip and dropping it. Different strokes but it seems like lately, I lug around my cameras weighing a lot and built out with a lot of stuff hanging off of them.

I once carried around an URSA, 20lbs+, for 9 holes. No cart, no fun.

Carrying the C200 with the grip would apply to bare-bones shooters with light lenses. Definitely me.

I cannot stand any crap hanging off cameras...I've done it and it just wasn't me.

I agree. I shot at E3 yesterday, C300, VCT Pro Baseplate, Wooden Camera 15mm to Arri Rosette, Tilta 6.5" Arri rosette extension arm w Wooden Camera Grip relocater, Atomos Ninja Blade, Zacuto EVF, ULCS 6" arm for EVF, plus I had a sound mixer so Lectrosonics wireless hop up on the cold shoe. The rig was about 15lbs, almost two feet long and a PITA. I am looking forward to shooting with the C200 shooting RAW and .MP4s internally with no external recorder. But I will still have the VCT Pro Baseplate, arm, grip relocater and I will still probably have to use the EVF as I can't think of a way to use the LCD touchscreen when shoulder mounted, my eyes cannot focus close enough with the LCD up in my face where the EVF should be. Unless Zacuto comes out with a loupe for the LED screen...but then we'll lose touchscreen focus, but that's cool as long as we can move the focus box using the grip.

I seem like a throwback but in my world, I still shoot a LOT shoulder mounted, events, documentary, BTS so I love a stripped down camera but usually end up with a stupid sized Franken rig with a bunch of crap hanging off of it because of job requirements. Client requested Prores files yesterday so had to use the Blade. I knew I was shooting handheld all day as the place i was shooting was insanely crowded, no room even for a monopod. Anytime I work with a sound mixer, there is going to be a wireless receiver or two hanging off of the camera. That's why I was really hoping the C200 was going to be a smaller sized C700 shoulder mounted form factor. They could have done that for the C200 and kept the same handheld form factor and no EVF for the C200B but it would be too much for Canon to have two form factors for one model of camera, although I wish they did.

I do most of my shooting handheld or on sticks, but I also have a wooden camera handle from my DSLR cage
