C200: C200 Firmware Update Spring 2018

Ridiculous is you ask me, If you set a date, put it out on that date. It's a firmware update not a totally new camera or something incredibly important.

Well it ain't over yet. It's only early afternoon in my timezone, and I believe Canon is also eastcoast US. Besides, if they caught an issue or bug, I'd rather them fix that than release it.

Very true, It could easily be a glitch on their servers too.

That's what I'm assuming. Maybe I'll contact them about it. I wanted to test the new format and see if it's visually identical to MP4 tonight.

EDIT: Just gave them a ring. They said the broken link is a server issue that they're aware of and working on, but that the firmware is not coming today. He pointed to the new date of tomorrow but was quick to point out that it's not guaranteed.

Meh, a bit annoying, but one more day won't kill me...

Also, if your update doesn’t go through using the a slot use the b slot. Mine wouldn’t recognize the firmware whatsoever in the a slot which had me at wits end.

Once you guys shoot and edit some XF-AVC with it and try the other features, let us know. Thanks for being the Guinea Pigs, I can't be, in the middle of two projects, I will be too frustrated if it's buggy or messes things up.

By the way, it does NOT remember your frame rate when you change from RAW to sd card recording.

Any luck to see if more CFast cards (512GB) are supported after firmware update? Actually I'm using a 512GB Angelbird card and quite often it's not recognized by the camera, I'm looking for the new Sandisk 512GB card that should not present the issue according to a friend that has suggested me to change it.
