C200: C200 arrived

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It's good to be back and I've always believed this format to be a critical platform for communication.

Congrats on your new camera. Could you please check if DPAF works in 50/60fps mode?

I can confirm it does - remarkably well too.

Thank you, that's a great step forward. It's a good solution for me on jobs I shoot slomo. I could run a C200 on a gimbal with af and then my C300 MKII handheld for closeups.

Welcome Loren :) i have a few questions too, i assume the DPAF works on 120p slow mo? and during the slowmo playback in camera, will it actually playback slowmo or would it be a normal 23.98 playback? or you only see the the slo mo effect on your NLE?

also does the C200 come with any built in LUTS in camera? if so what are they? and are you able to load LUTS into the camera itself for monitoring? Thanks again Loren!

next i believe i posted this question to fhammond but didn't get a reply, perhaps he missed it? but do EGODISK cards work with lexar's CR1 card reader?

Sorry, I missed this. The EgoDisk cards have worked fine with my CR1.

The camera does come with built-in LUTs (BT.709, HDR Assist (1600%), HDR Assist (400%), and ACESproxy) but I don't think you can load custom LUTs. You should check out the manual: it's on Canon's Web site. I don't know about the S&Q modes as I haven't really played with them yet.

That's kind of a bummer if true, Isn't that the whole point of having the ability to use luts in the first place, to be able to preview the look you want to finish with?

I’m unaware of any cameras you can load custom LUTs into. I'm sure there are some, but even the REDs at Ohio University and the Arri's we've rented for film shoots don't take custom LUTs. I can however load a custom LUT into my Zacuto Gratical or SmallHD monitor.

The latest REDs, the Ursa Mini 4.6k and the FS7 can off the top of my head, so it's not unheard of in this price range.

You can in the F5/55.
