Just saw that B&H is selling C100 at $2999. check the link

This appears to be the version without DPAF. Wondering how come the price drop of 1000 usd.

Isn't this old news? I think this has been the price for at least a couple of months now, and the DPAF version (MK 1) has been $3499. In fact, I've seen entire threads speculating whether this would be a permanent price or if it was just to clear out old stock. (consensus seemed to be that it was longer term than just clearing stock)

Canon dropped the prices of the their Cinema line significantly a bit of time ago:

C500 from 20 to 15K
C300 original from 11 to 7K
C100 original from 5 to 3K
1DX from 12 to 8K

*approx

The first major price drop on C100 was in January (to $4,000), the second was in unison with C300 on April, 1st (when C300 went down to $6,500-$7,000 from $13,000)
