I'm wondering how the 4:2:0 24mb/s codec will affect the low light images since it wouldn't be as adequate to compress the noise you'd get at higher ISO's.
The C100 codec is it's biggest limiting factor.
说的也是Isn't it the same codec as the FS100? I'm in agreement with you that it's a limiting factor, but people were/are getting great images out of the FS100 despite those limitations and I think it'll be the same with the C100.

It's Canon, Not Ikea or Home Depot. Stop the lousy work arounds....But we do have the option of external 1080p 4:2:2 @ 100+ Mbps, which should take care of any AVCHD CODEC issues.

That would be great StMad. Please share some samples and thoughts once the camera gets in your hands. My C100 will arrive within the week...i should have plenty of footage to share for those that are curious. My main plan is to see whether i can live without an external recorder.
Canon isn't giving us a choice in their lineup. You either work around or pay more than double the price. Hopefully the landscape will change in the next few years as companies like bmd show how companies like Canon are strategically keeping prices high to maximize profits. I mean profits are the only reason for their existence and I have no illusions about that, but there's a limit to how much artificial limiting of quality I personally am willing to pay for.

...I don't understand why people are so steamed over having to use an external recorder ? ... I think we are becoming spoilt with all the options we have today
You could wait a bit and then pay at exactly 2x the price when the 1DC is released!
Spoilt???...I don't understand why people are so steamed over having to use an external recorder ?
Yes, it would be nice if Canon provided a 50+ Mbit/sec 4:2:2 internal recording format, but I don't consider an external recorder to be a "lousy" option. ( I think we are becoming spoilt with all the options we have today )
