C100: C100 Mark II + Ninja Star vs C300 Internal

That's what they tell me there.

That said, if a Canon rep confirmed the downgrade, a Canon rep confirmed the downgrade.

i agree about the canon rep. That must be true.

Regarding the the red users, buyung a more expensive cameras doesn't make you an expert.

On the former, a Canon rep confirmed it. If you want I could harass the user who had it confirmed to him, but why bother?

"A Canon rep" has no real meaning here. If you walk into a large camera house that sells camera stuff and you talk to a Canon representative... who knows more about Canon cameras—you or him/her? Your answer should be a confident YOU.

"Canon reps", more often than not, are sales people. Pretty much the only time I've had a knowledgeable discussion with "a Canon rep" was at CPS when I wanted to upgrade my 1Dc almost two years ago. But to tell you the truth I could walk into to CPS another time and not get so lucky.

Maybe your "guy who knows a guy who talked to a guy" really struck gold and got solid info from one of the few people who knows stuff? But just the fact that someone talked to a rep from Canon doesn't mean much to me personally. If there is a difference: let's look at the images.

These are just my experiences. Feel free to put faith in the information if you deem it credible!

My apologies for not stating my source, none of the information I stated was theory or from a "Canon Rep". Nor was it derived from the higher end pro's on reduser :) When the c100 first hit the market we did extensive testing in comparison with the c300 recording both internally and externally(pro resHQ, 220x flavors). While we did not publish any of the results for public viewing, all 4 of us agreed that externally recorded footage was as "identical" as it gets.

On a side note, we also all agreed the ND operation on the c300 was far superior, so did the service dept at the rental shop :)

There. As expected.
