C100: C100 for a Red MX

And your wrong! The weight varies... Plain and simple. What if I'm using a belt clip for my battery? What if I'm using ssd? OR CF cards? Stop Darren, you dont know what you're talking about lol. Stay out of it... You making yourself look worse dude.

I have easily flown a MX kit on my Steadicam that is less that 15lbs. So, youre wrong! And even worse you arguing with someone that HAS THE CAMERA RIGHT NOW. Stop it lol!

well, that about does it for me, no more trying to help you save face, it seems your only interest is to disrupt and argue just for the sake of it. taking supposition out of context doesn't a valid argument make.

Back to the topic: They are both very different cameras for very different purposes. I guess it all depends on what the camera person is shooting. I can tell you I bought one of those BT Red One's just because I just had to have it and the price was a steal. I haven't used it much though but I will likely not sell it. Will just use it when I have the need to use it. However I have in the past though of buying a C100 even though I have the RED One. Mainly beacause the C100 is lighter and I am not planning on shooting a feature film everytime I am picking up a camera. Sometimes I would like a light, quick sharp camera that I can take more places with less support to grab shots which will end up online, etc. I still own a 5D and love the form factor but the internal codec is not sharp and the MLRAW is nice but not to practical for me. As such I feel that the C100 would fit in well in between DSLR and 4KRAW options. Apples and Oranges.

What ever makes you feel better Darren. Try saying something that has a basis in fact and someone will surely listen. Including me! Until then, take your passive aggressive antics somewhere else. No one cares for your etiquette lessons. They are dismissive, condescending and to the keen eye cowardly. If you're going to be an ass then do it! If not shut up. The fact that your arrogant enough to write the words "Trying to help you save face." is a outdated, elitist and despicably upper class stance to take. You've shown your true self sir. Talk specs or stop talking and leave.

I own a C100/Ninja (which I'll probably be selling soon) and recently purchased a Red Scarlet X. While the Scarlet is newer and a little less wieldy than the Red One, as compared to the C100, its a similar case of apples n oranges.

C100: Love the ergonomics, portability, color rendition, IQ and low light capabilities.
Scarlet: Love the 4 & 5k IQ and flexibility that comes with it, Redcode codec and solid/industrial design

For me the Scarlet was a no-brainer because I'm using it almost entirely in a controlled studio environment shooting macro and IQ is everything in the work I'm doing now. But if I were running/gunning or shooting more events at night, I would have stuck with my C100.

Fanboy? Lol. 18 posts in too? Aren't you the one trying to trade a red mx for a c100? Maybe your shoulder and arms just got too tired????
Look. If you want to argue, head over to YouTube or something. You said your 2 cents and most here will think I'm being generous with that value amount.
In the mean time, hope you get your C100 trade for your 25lb camera that takes over a minute to boot up.
