C100: C100 C300 C500 Firmware Update Schedule and Information

The new C300 firmware Version 1.1.0.1.00 is available on the Canon website. I just installed it. Still trying to figure out how to access some of the features. Wide DR, Auto Iris, and Auto Focus are easy, but I haven't been able to shift Mag location or access higher ISOs. Pretty great!

I am used to playing it safe so I will do the C300 firmware update after first adopters give it a shot and report back on any issues. Been waiting on this for a while. Why take a risk?

Hows the firmware holding up on the C300? Haven’t had a chance to touch it yet. Anyone see any issues at all? Will update in a few hours.

As per Canon:

I'm running the new C100 software update. Sound as the proverbial pound. No problems to report. Loving the movable magnification area, haven't even touched the new stratospheric ISO settings.

If you're looking for the focus enhancements, that comes in Q1 2014. Hopefully.

Do you have a concern? the issues with the firmware have been connected with the c300 only. i've had no mishaps with the c100. movable focus magnification is the big plus, probably the main reason people will grab the firmware. i've got to give attention to the rx10 now, the c100 will be a bit lonely this week

Dumb question...I know. I just updated the firmware: how do I go about moving the magnification area? I thought I would just use the joystick, but that doesn't seem to do it.

Nevermind. I figured out the issue. My lens needed to be in manual focus instead of Auto Focus. Cheers!

Oh ok, thanks!

Ho, just a question from someone totaly clueless about the c100. Is there any firmware/upgrade that allows it to do some 60 fps shooting at 1080p, or is this only avalaible for the other models ?

Thanks to answer

The blurb says the in/out marking works with Edius edit software, has anyone tried it yet with Premiere/FXP7/FCPX or any other software that people actually use?

I am en route to the UK's Broadcast show, the Canon booth is my first stop. But will likely find UK staff just as fresh to this info as we are.
