^ I saw your videos on vimeo the other day and figured you would be on here. Great stuff, keep up the great work!

I gotta say I love my 7D, but I sure do wish I could shoot with these lenses...

i have something close to these lenses jeracravo. it fits in, no vignetting that i can see, but im having issue getting infinity focus, my subject has to be about no more than 2 feet for me to get the right focus, anyone know how i can solve this issue?

I had the same issue and I tried a couple of things with some success. First, I took out the screw on the focus wheel. This allowed a wider range and I could then get things into focus 15 feet away.

I also took off the mount and shaved down the adapter so I could get the lens closer the sensor. It was getting better and better but the lens was really close the sensor. I decided to stop pursuing this as I didn't want to punch a hole in the sensor for a 10 dollar lens.

Havey anyone tried those cheap lenses?
If yes, can I see some shooting or pictures?
Thanks!!!

thanks!

I just bought this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120545082908&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

I think it's the same that you posted, but I paid 10 dollars more :(

Anyhow, the lens looks pretty good. It is so tiny and it seems like a pretty good option for a cheap fast wide lens. I can post some stuff as soon as my new c-mount adapter comes in.

This is the cheap 35mm f1.7. The older ones had harsh swirling bokeh but the one I got looks good and I was quite surprised.

The last link I posted has a lot of hi-res images under the download button. Not my pictures. It appears to be the same lens i got.

Here are some of my test pics. The lens is soft on the sides when wide open and at infinity focus. One HDSLR blogger says it has a "low-fi artiness" to the lens. I'm not sure i'd use it for wider shots. But if you are shooting an actor with a soft background it won't matter.
