Burning in Luts?

Trying to remember....was there a thread a while back that said something along the lines of having the ability to load a lut and have it burn/record 4K raw footy (shot with slog2) and have the lut burned into the raw footy (NOT just for display purposes.)

I assume you're talking about in the 7Q/7Q+? If so, that capability does not yet exist but supposedly it is coming in a future firmware. It is certainly contingent upon them also first adding custom monitoring LUTs which are also greatly needed. Personally that is one of my top features I want so I can deliver the images I want the director/editor to see straight from set and in 4k or 4k2hd. Slog2 is nice but as a DP who occasionally works on projects where I am given too little ability to communicate with the colorist or even know if there is a colorist or if it's just going to be a guy who downloaded resolve, I'd really like to be able to deliver images that are ready for delivery without a colorist or even communication about LUTs in post. It's also a pain in the ass to have to explain to every single person who ever looks at the monitor or the rough cuts or anything what Slog2 is and why the images look so desaturated and low contrast and that they won't look like that in the final delivery...

Assuming this is about the Odyssey7Q/Odyssey7Q+...

An upcoming firmware update will completely revamp the LUT system offered in the Odyssey7Q/7Q+. It will support custom 3D-LUTs and these LUTs can be addressed to the various outputs and monitoring routes of the device. NOT IN THE INITIAL RELEASE but coming later will be the ability to "bake in" the LUT into an Apple ProRes recording. This will be true for recordings straight from a video source or converted from RAW, and will apply to any of the various resolutions the Odyssey supports. It is not possible to "bake in" a LUT to a RAW recording as, well, it wouldn't be RAW then, would it?
