Bulk discount on P2 Cards?

Does anyone think it would be possible for dvxuser.com members to pool their resources and make a single bulk purchase of P2 cards from a vendor that might be able to offer a discount to a large quantity order. It just seems that a lot of people on the forums will be purchasing a HVX200 but are concerned about the intital cost of P2 cards.

I imagine this might be a hard thing to coordinate, but it seemed like an obvious question to ask.

Not to rain on any parade, but at the cost of P2 cards somebody'd end up getting the short end of the stick on a bulk purchase...big time.

Just think of the last time you ran to Macdonalds for a few people in the office. Everybody gives you their money, but somehow you still end up paying something out of your own pocket. :)

I like the idea of saving money this way, but it wouldn't be easy to do.
 
if people wanted to all you have to do is have someone who everyone trusts organize it - then use paypal to collect the cash - if you dont pay you dont get it. Whoever pays determines the number to buy - if not enough is collected that person can offer refunds to everyone without a dime lost
 
Exactly...I think it would work to have everyone pay for their order to a single person and then that person turns the order into a vendor. I was propsing this idea to see what the Administrators of Dvxuser. I suppose it would take a lot of orders ( and money) to get a discount, but I thought I would throw the idea out there.
