Bring on the 444 M4/3!! Jan! Do something, Quick!

His career and life seem to be a continuing train wreck that that keeps repeating, thanks in large part to money from the government of Germany?

Boll got some of his money through some arcane exemptions in German tax law which allow for special deductions under certain circumstances. Those exemptions have financed Hollywood over the years by a great share - some say by not less than 30% in some years - with what is called there "silly German money". And he managed at the same time to convince a lot of national and state funding boards to jump in too. So, if you like his films or not, he is a real "strongly defined character" and you can only stand in awe how he really gets it done. He may end as a character in a movie one day.... ;-)

Apart from that: To join the AG-AF club can have many reasons and one can be that this camera can be used both as a fine an able professional tool but also as the cinematographic equivalent of an e-guitar one loves to torture just for fun and play and tinker and learn and explore with and not needing to rent a "grown-up" cam for that.... and I love it when people have both: The knowledge of a professional and the energy of an aficionado. Go, Wilbur.

So if they made a film of his life, and it didn't contain a single explosion, would it still be called a disaster film?

Go, Wilbur.

Getting back on topic.

If Panasonic came out with a 4:2:2 10 Bit AVC Intra P2 M43 camera with VFR in a shoulder configuration, I would be all over it.
