Breaking Bad

I may or may not work for the parent company of AMC. I saw this hanging up on our company bulletin board a few weeks ago:

This show hasn't skipped a beat. Awesome. That opening with those two creepy Mexican dudes was brilliantly weird. I'll say no more.

Awesome opener to season three. I think this show is one of the top 3 best pieces of filmed entertainment of the past two years, meaning TV and the big screen. I hope that whenever Breaking Bad ends, that its creator Vince Gilligan gets another TV series green lit, or he can get a feature film made.

SPOILER:

The pizza on the roof may be one of the greatest shots I've seen on BB.

Do you think
1. It was a happy accident that it landed up there
2. It was planned, and they did multiple takes till they got it right
3. It was a CGI pizza :-Laugh(DBG):

I had that question myself. I'm going with happy accident...I loved that last scene. Talk about tension! That's what I love about this show. Sometimes you get lulled into thinking an episode is just going to be filler about the relationships, then they throw two axe wielding Mexicans at you.

I was wondering that too, I'm going with happy accident and then they wrote it in, fantastic shot on a show with endless fantastic shots.

The follow-up shots from the roof as the pizza decomposed....absolutely hilarious.

That's about all that was funny about this episode....man, it was kind of a downer. But highly entertaining! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG):Drogar-BigGrin(DBG):Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I love Walt's continuing subtle moves toward "the bad guy" In the previous episode, he drops that little throw-away line: "I blame the government" and now the freak out on the cop about his rights...writing is easily among the best I've ever seen in TV or film.

Also Jesse...WOW.

Yeah, Walts getting a little unlikeable with his weasely rationalizations and avoidance of responsibility. Hope he goes back to ass kicking Heisenberg mode.

I don't find him unlikeable at all. I just see him getting pressed really hard. And that's exactly the point of what's happening. He's being forced into making that decision to all out embrace the ass-kicking Heisenberg and "be the bad guy." No more dual life is possible...and I think we are going to see some VERY nasty **** go down this season...

Speaking of badass Heisenberg, LOL, remember the music video?

I understand that, but right now, he's in denial and is trying to rationalize away his guilt, which is starting to get weaselly. I still love Walt, look at my avatar, just saying he hasn't manned up yet. It's understandable and psychologically truthful...I just don't like seeing it is all.

Pizza on the roof and...

"POLLOS"

Freaking great stuff.

Hell yes. I completely agree. If only the writers/producers of Caprica could take some lessons from the badasses writing Breaking Bad... oh well, we can't win' em all.

Between Breaking Bad and The Pacific, I'm not sure I will be able to stomach much of the stuff Hollywood is currently spewing upon us in the multiplexes (I was looking forward to seeing Clash of the Titans as a "big dumb - guilty pleasure - FX flick", but I think I might hate myself for doing so after just having viewed the latest episode of Breaking Bad).

Screw Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, we've got Mr. Walter White  and Heisenberg .
