Breaking Bad

Season finale tonight.....cannot wait. Trying to finish an edit, eat dinner and get ready for what I'm willing to bet will be a very intense episode.

Thats what I'm thinking. But the guy in the newspaper said the finale is so dark.....it might be good to step away from this until next spring. :Drogar-Dum(DBG):

UHHHHHHH WHAT!!!! That came out of nowhere... Walter is responsible for so much death! In a way, he's a serial killer and he doesn't even know it.

I can't wait for next season.

Not much talk following the finale, I guess.

A random thoughts, some negative.

The DEA....they've got a detailed pushpin map of all the areas the blue stuff has been showing up in the Southwest......but they can't get specific about who Combo was connected with? ('He's so low under the radar he doesn't register' is the explanation)

Jesse, all of the sudden he's just living in this den of inequity? I know it was two weeks or so, but that seemed a bit rushed. And the whole dope den seemed a bit overdone. (but cool nonetheless)

Anyone else figure it was a plane crash following that opening sequence? Once I saw the NTSB vehicles and the smoke billowing, I figured such, but how were they going to work it into the plot? I thought the compositing was pretty good on the plane crash, and I like the way the POV shot tumbled as the stuffed animal fell downward.

On that note...

A couple episodes back, did anyone catch a shot when Walt pulls into that motor lodge to drop off the meth, there was what appears like the pink stuffed animal behind a gate in the pool area?

So what happens next?

Yeah, in general I think they fudge it when it comes to them getting caught. I mean, Saul nailed it when he showed up at the school. He was able to find Walt pretty easily. I think they are so shockingly sloppy all around, there's no way they would not have been caught by now, esp since Jessie was already known as a meth maker when the show opened.

But I give them a little lee-way cause the rest is so frickin' good.

The finale had a little less "pow" than some previous eps, but no less power. And what happened with Skylar was huge. I was sitting there biting my nails when he said: "If I tell you everything..." I was like AHHHHHHH!!!!!!

And I like the whole plane thing as a metaphor for his drug dealing. The consequences of his actions rippling out and killing people he never knew. I think that will be a growing theme in the next season.

Did anyone notice the titles of a the episodes with the flashbacks?

Episode one i titled.....737.....episode 4 is Down......Episode10 is Over......and Episode 13 is ABQ. Thought that was pretty cool and they all have a reference to the stuffed bear in each one.

Wow!

Same here. The whole season just rocked along, I rarely questioned plot issues. For some reason in this last episode, I just started wondering about a few things. And yes, the last episode did seem to have a bit less "pow". (until the final scenes)

I think that's ok though. You would expect the last episode to be over the top and crazy. I liked that they made it just like any other episode. Everything that happened could be expected to happen during any episode throughout the season.

I really hope that this show and the actors win lots of awards. The show is pure genius.

I think this is the reason I am going to have to break down and buy a new TV after a month of not having one. This and "Life" on Discovery....

It looks really good. I don't even know what season they are on but I might rent the first and check it out. Can you watch it online anywhere?

DOOD. Just go to the video store and rent the first two seasons. Awesome television. Not a single bad episode, and several classic ones.
