It was shot 24pa, 250 shutter speed, iris open and custom scene settings.

The film is narrative. I think.... lol, jk

Hey Jay!

That was really good man.. looks super filmic for sure.

Looking forward to working with you on NJ coming April!!

Cheers.

I had to bump up the brightness a bit, but the footage looked fantastic.

I noticed that they were only going to the body. It's funny, because I had a body sparring session the other day. It really conditions your body to take one hell of a body shot. My arms and chest are still a bit sore from 20 minutes of abuse. lol.

I watched it again, and must say, I really dig it dude. The cut to the trainer is a bit akward IMO, but it's a rough clip. I really like the fighting stuff, great feel to it!!!

The fight DOES have a great feel to it, but I have to disagree. I like the cut to the trainer. I would expect other cuts during the fight sequence when you get around to putting it together. You've got a ton of potential and I can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm sure it's going to be great!

i like the cut and the lens flare, it reminds me this clockwork orange scene when alex is walking in the music shop .... very 70s 16mm look

You guys made my day and it's only 7:00am! Thanks! : )

There's alot that I want to show you guys and I could but I'm forcing myself to hold back so that I don't kill the film before it's released. The footage that you guys see here in this thread is minimal to what I have edited at the moment which is why I'm REALLY happy that most of you guys like it because the short is rockin' so far. Well, at least in my opinion it is. haha

Our plans for the film are to manufacture dvds with behind the scenes footage (so far we have five hours worth), behind the scenes photographs (so far we have 400 professional shots), a few Guerilla filmmaking tutorials, interviews with cast & crew and some other goodies including a few bonus shorts by myself and a few other filmmakers. : ) It's really well mapped and I'm very excited about what we're doing.

When the DVD's are complete we're going to rent a theater in NYC, get catering for the evening and host a movie night for the short. But it doesn't stop there, we're going to accept submissions from other filmmakers to show their movies as well. We want to pack the theater out so that everyone can enjoy this film as well as the other films to be shown.

Looks great, Jay! Can't wait to see more.

Personally I would love to see lots of flashes going off, but we don't know what kind of match it is, so I'll just shut up and watch it 10 more times.

Is it the 250 Shutter speed that makes it feel sped up? or do they just movie that fast. The black boxer appears to move his body extremely fast

looks very good coffee. the only thing i'd say you need to work on (other than the brightness) is the sound. I can see the trainer talking, but all i hear is the crowd yelling. you may have to do some ADR on him. other than that it looks good.
