When is this adaptor coming is it still in febuary, i need to know if its worth the cost for my handfull of canon EOS lenses if not i will sell them.

Small amount of adapters go to dealers mid-feb, according to their website. General release seems to be april. No word as yet if gh1/gh2 will require additional power source. Hopefully Barry Greene will chime in at some point if he has any inside info.

Is it true this adaptor will still not work [camera control]IE aperture iso focus with my Tamron 10-24 and 28-300mm lenses i used on my T2i.

Nobody can answer that until the product exists. If theT2i can control them, then the Birger will almost certainly work with those lenses, but we won't know for absolutely certain until the product exists for testing.

Barry i guess you meen if the T2i can control the lenses which it could on mine but as you know the canons AF is not like the GH2, also i presume ETC will still work on canon lenses with the adaptor.

That's what I meant, yes. And yes, AF performance is very different on the GH2, and it really depends on the lens motors in the lens as to whether it'll be able to do useful video autofocus or not.

ETC will work on any lens.

no reply from Birger to some questions i asked,or release date, patience is fine but when you have lenses and dont know whether to sell or not to get replacements time drags.

been a while since the last esponse on this thread and the Birger website has no updates nor do they reply to emails.

@adeyemimichael We'll show the Canon EF to micro 4/3 adapter for AG-AF101 at NAB, and we'll announce the ship date at that time.

Looks like this adapter will be coming pretty soon: http://twitter.com/#!/ErikBirger
