Personally I would spend your money on a NetBook and use liveView out.
Plug it into a laptop you have lying around and you'll see what I mean.
Can you do this on a T2i?

Hi, I have been searching around for a suitable 7 inch monitor with HDMI and this forum seems really informative. I was hoping someone could give me some guidance... I am on a budget but these are the options I can see:
669GL-70NP/C www.carcomputer.co.uk
619GLAH from eBay
I understand the Lilliput's are 800×480 native resolutions, but so are the Marshalls which I have seen for sale at http://www.videogear.co.uk.
Is there a major difference here? I suppose the Marshalls have more video inputs and have more heavy duty enclosures, but that's not really necessary for me...
Hope someone can help! Cheers,
Jacob
Jacob,
the eBay link you linked to... that monitor is $225, it's also exacty, EXACTLY the same monitor that www.coolLCD.com sells for $188.
Not sure why you would want to buy it off of eBay when you can buy it directly from CoolLCD for $188. See this forum and www.cinema5D.com many use that monitor.
remember that the 619AH is a monitor that many resell as their own, including www.jag35.com, everyone just buy this monitor and adds their own sticker to it.
If you want a good inexpensive monitor, then that's the one to get, many others that people have listed, are even in the $300 + range, and are no better than the 619ah.
here:

you can buy the 619ah or for $10 more you can get the touch screen model, it's exacctly the same, but it's also a touch screen.
The prices there are for people who do NOT know that Hong ( the guy who runs the company ) gives deals. Tell him you are from DVXUSer or Cinema5D and want the monitor for $188, and that's it.
As for your other questions, I don't know the answer.
By the way, the 619ah is an awesome monitor !
I'm going with the Lilliput, as well. This is what I can afford. My question is where can I purchase batteries for the monitor? I figure, ebay, but does anyone have the battery model number? Thanks.
Appreciate the info ChuckS.I'm not sure whether the ebay store I purchased my batter from stills exist, here's a link to the auction http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220326836938&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
If this doesn't work here's a link to the thread on Cinema5d discussing batter options:

I have this battery and it works great.
