So I've decided I AM going to buy one of these :grin: - now it's just a matter of finding the best deal on the net...I've seen some people mention TigerDirect, but I couldn't find it on their website - anyone know where the best offer is?

you're about 8 days late. the bing/tiger direct combo was the best. but i don't think anymore shops are taking pre orders.
 
In addition to that, this thing is going to be so hot there will be no reason to sell below MSRP on it for several months.
 
Think I'm gonna start threads bashing the 7D and put up video from camcorders labled as 7D, gotta find a way of stemming this tide!

BestBuy.com is still taking pre-orders. You will be paying tax if you order from them. Shipping is free.

Their expected ship date is 10/13-10/19/2009
 
Bah - I was all set to pre-order from Adorama and then realized they were in NYC - I'd rather not pay $150 in taxes...that's money that can go towards my next purchase: LENSES!

Adorama has had their preorders open since day one, they're probably gonna be backed up past their first shipment anyways...
 
So - I'm assuming these cameras are shipping soon from the other thread I've been reading...anyone have any idea if I just wait...will it be available from BH etc. in a month or two?
 
Someone posted in this thread that by Sept 2nd Adorama had 160 pre-orders. I ordered on the first...I wonder how big of a batch they will get getting from Canon?
 
The Canon 7D blows! Do not buy the Canon 7D! For every 7D you buy, a baby panda is slaughtered somewhere in the world!!!....... :P
 
Let the first wave get the 7D. If there is some hidden problem let them find out first. Save yourself a lot of hassle.
 
How long will the Bing.com and Tiger Direct discount last? Maybe you can still get the 15% discount when the camera is back in stock.
