It has probably been asked a thousand times but I didn't find any solution so far. Is there an easy way to batch convert MXF dailies to H264 QT files (or another format) on the PC side ?
As long as you could convert the MXF to qt's to begin with you could then use squeeze , set up a watch folder, dump the results of your MXF > Qt exports into the squeeze folder and Squeeze will then compress those files to anything you want. Cost$ for the software but it would work.
Thanks but the problem on the PC side is to convert the MXF files (in a batch mode). Yes, once you have an .avi or .mov file it's an highway then !
I found a way by using After Effects (the latest update allows direct P2 importing). You drag the MXF files from the bin to the window of renders, with the apprpriate default setting for the format export.
