I believe this has been brought up, but having to wait between search parameters is killing me. Sorry if this has been beaten to death, but it's going to be an even bigger issue for us on our next project.
Has anything changed recently with the new FCP editions etc.? Is it possible to have Final Cut rename the files (multiple files at a time, not just one) upon import to a "project_0000.mov..." etc.?
When it comes time to archive on disc etc. it's a pain to have to try to store all the file names in a folder on a mac and have to sort by "date created" in order to maintain the proper flow of time across clips (especially when combining footage from multiple cameras, which then intermix name wise).
I find it very odd that this hasn't been an included P2 Import option already, so have I just missed something?
