Did you get my order?

I thought I had ordered the book & DVD, but I got no confirmation e-mail. I also see no activity on my credit card. Did you get my order?

Okay, just got an update. The DVD's are being shipped from the replicator TOMORROW. Rats. I thought they'd BE HERE by tomorrow. But no, they're getting on the truck tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have 'em by Friday, or Monday at the latest.

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Hi Barry!

As a newbe to this DVX clan, I am eager to recieve my copy of the Ultimate DVX book and dvd.

I do however have a question. Is it possible, and likely that you might take the time to create a digital copy in Adobe(tm) *.pdf format so that we can carry it around in our pda's as a ready reference? If so, maybe it can be downloadable to your current crop of customers, me included, or on the next edition of the dvd for future buyers??

I have downloaded the Panasonic DVX manual from the Panasonic web site and it is really useful on the run.

So, not to be too demanding, An autograph in the book for your loyal initial customers, along with a download code for the pdf file, if it ever comes, when you ship would be terrific!

Just an idea, but looking forward to reading, and absorbing your insights. Thanks jwl

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

No plans for a PDF...

About this "signature" business... people keep asking, so I guess they're not joking, right? Can whoever wants an autographed copy please send an e-mail to dvxbook at dvxuser dot com, spelling out their name and address so I can match up the paypal order and make sure those copies get signed?

Gotta respond quickly though, first orders are due to start shipping tomorrow (provided UPS delivers the DVD's tomorrow!)

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

So I guess the books/DVDs will go out this week, I'll probably have to wait a while until it gets all the way here to Israel

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Barry, did you luck out and get the DVDs today? Also, how long will shipping take approx? Week or two?

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

We took a whole boatload of 'em over to the post office today!

Er, the doors were locked.

Forgot it was a national holiday... oops.

So, they'll go out tomorrow. They're all going Priority Mail.

DOH!!!!!
Done that many a time.... :-/

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Since Priority is supposed to be about 3 days, a lot of us should be getting them by Wednesday or so.

Just curious, Barry: are the book and DVD each stand-alone items in terms of content, or are they designed to be used together?

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

It's kind of both. I mean, there are some things that are only on the DVD, such as the demo's of DVX vs. film, DVX vs. HD, and the Magic Bullet simulations.

There are many things that are only in the book, such as the detailed explanations of menu settings and functions.

There are some things that are on both, such as the depth of field tutorial, the 24P/strobing discussion, and the scene file settings.
