Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Just a note about the book/order page:

The page title reads "3500mah battery." I'm guessing this was just a looked over effect of using a template :)

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Great, hopefully after watching this, my fear of buying this camera will be gone.

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Hi
I am from SLOVAKIA and I am not good in English (SORRY)

How I may buy this BOOK when I am from SLOVAKIA?

THANKS

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Hi Moje,

We ship internationally, so getting to Slovakia wouldn't necessarily be a problem. For ordering, we take Paypal, but if you can't use Paypal we can also take American Express Traveler's Cheques. I'm not familiar with any restrictions on ordering from Slovakia -- have you been able to order from other USA companies?

Also, please be aware that the book is entirely in English (of course) and the DVD is encoded for NTSC systems, so if Slovakia is PAL territory you would need an NTSC-compatible DVD player and television, or you'd need to use a computer DVD-ROM player to play the DVD.

Welcome to the forum! :)

There are some differences, but not that many.  Mainly in the frame rates (25P/50i vs. 24P/24PA/30P/60i) and in the SETUP menu option.  Other than that, I'm not entirely sure how many differences there are, but I tried to address all the differences and make the book appropriate for PAL users as well.

The DVD is not PAL-compatible however, it's NTSC only, so you'd need to play it in an NTSC-compatible DVD player on an NTSC-compatible set, or play it on a computer DVD-ROM player and watch it on the computer screen.[/quote]

I didn't think there would be too many differences, that's why I ordered the DVD/Book without hesitation.

as for the dvd being NTSC, fortunately all players in Israel are multy-system, multy-zone. so you can watch any DVD you want (all my DVDs are from US/Canada...)

thanks again

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Appropriate release date, since there are so many "tricks" the camera can do, and this book/DVD is the best "treat" we could get!

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

The book is going to the publisher today (gotta love Internet Print-On-Demand)... I'm still narrowing down DVD replicators.

So, there'll be a short wait for the manufacturing process...

Re: Barry's Ultimate DVD guide/book available

Barry, the pricing was perfect, much less than I was willing to pay, making the purchase too tempting to delay. Thanks for the early bird discount! I hope you turn a fantastic profit.
