Barry's GH1 vs. T2i comparison?

A new Canon is months away, probably not really worth the effort for any further hacking, until we see if Canon up the ante.

I'm going to say pulldown is still an issue. I don't use native 24p, it's just not reliable enough for events (which I do a lot of). It's fine for narrative since you can always reshoot, and a lot of people have never had it fail.

If you do need to do pulldown, Cineform makes it easy, and it's something you should use anyway because the codec is so edit friendly.

As I said, it's just not reliable enough in my opinion. A lot of people have had problems implementing it. Everything is seems to work fine, but that one is tricky... so don't assume it's definitely going to work for your setup, unless you buy a card that has been heavily tested with those settings. Regardless, if you use Neo Scene you're fine.

I've been dumping my stuff into Premiere CS5 and it seems to do the pulldown automatically. I went through a hundred frames or so and it seemed fine. But maybe I'm being fooled by pulldown--wouldn't be the first time. But Cineform makes short work of it.
