Yeah 28 is the current date I've got but I still doubt there will arrive any FS7 to my dealer.

I've almost decided to buy the FS7 (and am glad to hear that on its way to Canada) but I'd really like to see a statement from Sony about their intentions to fix a few of the glitches, especially the "slow iris".
I feel ya, but that's probably not going to happen, simply because I don't believe there's precedent for Sony making a statement about a future fix. Future feature adds, yes. But I don't remember anything for fixes.
If you do the kind of work that doesn't require on-the-fly iris change, then go for it, I think it's annoying but a non-issue overall. Like, I don't because most of my work is narratives. But if you're in live events, then either get lenses with manual aperture rings or put a vari-ND in front and live with that. Just assume this issue is never going to be fixed, simply because we can't count on them doing it.
i got a call this morning and now have an fs7 sitting in my living room. Woohoo!
Now I need to get to know this cam inside and out. I need to plan something to test out the featuresawesome
I've been chatting with Brian Berkey at Berkey System, he's got a nice top plate solution coming really soon that can be used with or without the stock handle, which I don't think any other top plate solutions are doing.Picked mine up this afternoon - need top cheese plate. bad. Anyone other that Vocas have one out?
Not yet.
Arri, Shape, Chrosziel and Wooden Camera are already working on a solution.
This will mainly be a baseplate with shoulder pad and a cheeses plate with
top handle.
Why bother if you need one today and Vocas seems to deliver what you want at
a reasonable price...

I'll follow up with him today and see if he has any prototypes made.
