Attention Canadian AF-100 Enthusiasts

So anyone of you guys who are thinking about getting the Durus (Cinevate) follow focus - Henrys downtown Toronto or online, has them on for $699. That's a $500++ discount...
 
yeah I saw that. I talked to Dennis Wood and he mentioned they were over stocked and have about 25 units to sell.

Architecture photography (which is what I do) is a must with the 14-24 because of the edge to edge sharpness . With m4/3 you are using the centre sweet spot of the lens so I'd say both the 14-24 and the 17-35 are comparable. Both lenses are sturdy and heavy. The 17-35 has an external aperture ring and can be found used for a good savings. The 14-24 can be found used but since it's newer, it's harder to find good deals.

Oh, yes the Novoflex can control iris.

A little cheaper but 17-35 so not as wide. How do you find the lens your have though?

Another day, and no word on my camera :( It really sucks since I go into production on saturday and will have no time for it next week if it does come... 3 months waiting so far..
 
Nope. Went there today and asked and got a "wouldn't that be nice" as a response. Shoulda ordered from Vistek.... at least I saved $200 though I guess - put that towards a baseplate
 
As much as I don't like shopping at Vistek, they have pulled through for me for my last three Panasonic cameras. DVX, HVX, AF100. I was able to get these cameras on the first batch every time.
 
ya I agree. Things seem overpriced there, and they seem to be more for photography than video (IMO), and I don't like having to put up my credit card for rentals. We'll see how I like them after I get my Redrock baseplate (out of stock, suppor to take 2-3 weeks to get :S)
 
Vistek is expecting 18 or 19 units this week - not all are spoken for at this point… Maybe Cinequip Whites will get some too?
 
Also I got the the Toronto retailer of the tv logic to match the group buy in the US. Let me know if you need the details.
