Attention Canadian AF-100 Enthusiasts

Still looking like the 1st-2nd week of Jan for us canadians, always last to get the new goods :( if I hear of someone in the us that has em in stock I may have to change my order
 
Lorne Lapham Sales and Rentals is still waiting on Panasonic. They should have received them last week, but it's looking like after x-mas.
 
well never got a call back so i called again ,just talked to anthony from lorne laphem , all af100 are $5000. and all ordered are spoken for . so i guess will have to go with spec.com
 
I don't know if all the units at VGA Com and Inter-Cité Video (here in Montreal) are spoken for.

If you're in BC CinequipWhite has an office there - could be worth a shot.

I do know Solotech wasn't able to get/sell any.
 
CinequipWhite here in Toronto still had a unit or two available as of yesterday...

Yes I do work at Vistek and I have got word from my Purchaser this morning that Panasonic will not be shipping our full initial order until January.
HOpefully that means the first week of 2010 but fool me once shame on you...
 
Does that mean all twelve wont come and that some will come sooner, or thats all cameras in january? Thanks derek.

First week makes sense - Jan keeps throwing out the Dec 27'th as a ship date, so by air that lands them in T.O. on the 29'th-ish (?). During a week when everyone and their dog is trying to take a few days off between Christmas & New Years (myself included)… I leave for Mexico late tomorrow and return on the 2nd of Jan - the cameras will wait for my return.



Though I may think of it wistfully while sipping cervezas on the beach...
 
what heavyG said makes sense though. by the time they do ship, get to canada, clear, then are sent out, it seems about right. not to mention the short work day before new years then the holiday after. just a bad time of year for shipping.

Hi all, no one in the UK can expect any AF101 till the beginning of January 2011.

Or a great time of year to spend a last few precious minutes with our families before we all go berserk with our new tools. ;)
 
Seems that way for almost all the Canadian retailers. I guess Panasonic Canada is in no rush to get these cameras out to us. It is a shame.
 
Thats so sad. Hopefully its early next week, we had some test scenes planned before we head back to school. Thanks for keeping us informed derek.
 
nothing yet, today is the first day back for shipping companies so this week would be a close call. im always hopeful but we missed a total of roughly 8 days(if my logic is correct); 2 weekend, 2 after due to christmas on a weekend, then because new years is on a weekend as well, i think the monday is off. so with weekend days, we missed a whole week they could have moved. the word is next week though.
