AC90: Attaching accesories to the AC90

Just got an AC90 - love it (coming from DSLR filming), images are very crisp/noise free, colors seem accurate out of the box and operating the camera in manual mode is very simple and intuitive. Ill be using it mostly for run and gun interviews and event stuff.

Main problem I have is that the only place to attach anything to the camera (besides the shotgun mic holder) is the 1 cold shoe. So if I had a LED light in the cold shoe, there is no place to attach a wireless mic receiver.

Anyone come up with a solution to this other than velcro?

What several people have mentioned is it would be use full to have a cold shoe adaptor that screws in in place of the shotgun mic holder. IT would also make the AC90 a better fit for most cases. SO far no one seems to have come up with one.

There are several adaptors that turn 1 cold shoe into 2 if that helps.

Well, guess its time to talk to my friend who has a 3D printer and print up a cold shoe mount that will screw where the shotgun mic goes.

my (chinese) LED lights have a shoe (on the sides and top) to clip on other led lights, but as they are standard hotshoe size you can slide in a microphone holder as well. so if i need light + mic i attach the mic on the right of the light. (i would never ever go for velcro!!)

i wonder why panasonic bothered with the mic holder (screws!) they supplied, another simple hot (ok actually 'cold-') shoe plate on that point would be so much more convenient.

If he does there is a market for it! A lost of people have asked for it on here.

I found something called Bracket 1 on B&H. This has other attachments that you put onto the bracket and it places the items to be attached on the right side of the camera up next to the shotgun mic holder. I think ill try this out.
