Excellent cinematography and acting. This was a really good film and very professionally shot and edited. I can't say enough about the quality and shot selection. What camera did you shoot on?

Thank you very much!

This was shot on a Sony FX-1 with a Letus Adapter and a couple of Nikon lenses I got off ebay.
28mm, 50mm and 80mm - als f 1.4 or f 1.6

That was awesome! I usually don't like to watch subtitled things because it takes away (for me) from the experience of the film. I can't focus on the image, because I'm always reading words. But, this was an exception. Very well done and professional! Great acting and the music was very fitting. Good work.

I hear some foley (the writing, paper falling, the "schtift", and some other handling sounds)

The story is very good actualy.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it even with subtitles!

Yeah, there's a bit of foley work in the film. I'd say about 25 % of the sound you hear is added in post.

Ich spreche auch deutsch...nur ein bitchen, aber genauh die film su verstehen. Und mit die undertitlung (oder undertitling oder etwas) geht es gut.

Thanks for the compliment polfilmblog!

Ah, that's cool that you speak a bit german. And "bitchen" is a brilliant word. Like a cuter version of *****. :)

All in all a very good short. Couple of critics just because everything can get better. The opening scene was a little off for me. I just don't believe two people in the real world @ a bus stop would respond that way to one another. Who knows, maybe in Germany they do. Based on the sound at the beginning (first 1 min) I though it was going to be pretty crappy but you kept surprising me. Music was really good, added to the scene. I also liked the way it was shot. Good lens choices and angles. Unlike many films i've watched, I don't want my 15mins back :)

Very cool film, I'm happy I watched it! Whatever you did you did right. Cuz it's such a simply told film yet very complex at the same time... excellent execution! *Simply told meaning it was very clear what was happening, yet there were many layers to the story.

(how did you manage to get something over 10 mins on youtube??)

In Amerikanisch 'bitchin' is a term used, perhaps by 'older' people' to mean 'good/great'... as in 'that was a bitchin' car/film/song/whatever'...

And with the English subtitles the films ready for fests... even in Germany... where frequently 'English subtitles' are frequently requested...

The film did capture my attention, so, I would say it's a cut above many offerings here.

Only a couple of things occur to me. The 'look' 'feels' to me too sharp/clean. I think this is most noticeable in the holding room for the kidnapped girl. It felt 'really clean'... ok, it's Germany and maybe
even abandoned attics/cellars are 'really clean'.

The quality of light seems to 'sharp' to me. I think the look has been desaturated a bit, but still it seem to 'light' in the background areas, to give a more ominous sense of 'doom'...

Well, one of the best German short films I've seen so far! :) Very very well done!

There were a few things I didn't like, but not so many and quite minor. What annoyed me the most, was the opening sequence. On a short film, nobody cares about all the names of actors you have never heard before. The film should start faster.

At one point in the story (10min 10sec) the bad guy tries to call benni. Robin takes the phone of Benni, which is not ringing and calls the third guy. I was a little confused.

But all in all a GREAT film!

Thanks for the comments and criticism! Ver valid points.

I'm not overly happy with the first act of the film myself, it is indeed not as natural as I would have hoped. That bench scene was a tough baby even during the rehearsals. Most of the actors never stood in front of a camera before, they were used to being on stage. Hence things are sometimes a bit too hefty and obvious. :)

Difficult balance to get right. And I'm leaning and improving with everything I do. At least trying to. Heh. :)

Thanks again for all the comments and I'm glad people enjoy the film!

PS: Youtube changed their policy to a 15 minute limit, furtunately.
