A 65mm camera that weighs just 10kg...

This thing is going be incredible! And the sheer resolution is going to allow you to bump up the ISO a fair bit (to give you the extra stop for workable DoF) without too obvious an increase in noise... I think I'm in love...

Can't wait to see movies shoot on this thing, this is totally a theatrical camera. Rental only, I wounder how many they are going to make.

I think the camera of choice for the high end of the market just got redefined.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Arri have come out with such - but I wasn't expecting anything for another year or two.

The sensor is also the perfect height for digital Vistavision, so the new Zeiss Compact Zooms, along with the CP.2s and Schneider Full Frame Xenons can now (finally) be taken full advantage of.

Looks lovely. Nice to drool over but I have no use for the thing. I'll take the original ALEXA on an indie of mine any day and with thankfulness lol. :) Can't wait to see something in IMAX shot on this thing though. Bring it on HWood!

What type of lenses can fit that sensor?

There's a whole new lens set coming based on the current Hasselblad/Fujinon 6x4.5cm still lenses, plus more in the pipeline, including another zoom.

Launched as an integral part of the ALEXA 65 system is a range of high-performance 65 mm prime and zoom lenses that do justice to the exceptional levels of detail capable of being captured by the camera. The 50-110 mm Zoom 65 and the eight Prime 65 lenses, ranging from 24 mm to 300 mm, utilize state-of-the-art optics from Hasselblad, housed in classically robust and uniform lens barrels co-developed with IB/E Optics.

And the Maxi PL-to-XPL adapter allows the use of 11 primes from the ARRIFLEX 765, which have optics from the older Hasselblad 6x6cm V-series, as well as the Cooke 38-210mm T 6.3
