COMMERCIAL: Aribas Printing Machinery Corporate Film - Shot on GH13 and 7D

Hey all!

instead of beeing too busy with bashing others and the AF100, we shot a corporate film for Aribas Printing Machinery on my trusty GH1 and our Canon 7D. It was quite a big project for us with lots of pre- and postproduction including some animations and special transitions.

As said before we shot on the GH1 and 7D with mostly our 17-50mm f2.8 Tamrons and my lovely Contax 85mm f1.4. We used our slider, jib and follow focus (BTS pics in the second post).

Here are some screenshots:

Fantastic piece. Very clean, smooth moves, music went right along with it, everything was illuminated well. Great corporate piece, you totally captured a corporate feel with that. Are those Lite Panels you're using? How did you like using them?

Really nice. I recently dove into the Corp vid market an can really appreciate the quality of your piece

Were the graphics all AE?

Looks good Simon. Nice clean moves through scenes.

The only things Id say are:

Coaching the staff - this is a tricky one when your using their own staff, but I noticed a few times the staff member feeling very self conscious.
The Brand - these videos are a great tool for getting a message across, but they are also a branding exercise. You should take every opportunity to flash the brand up.

Thanks for stopping by Noel! About the coaching. I think I know what you mean, but can you give an example? Like the scenes with the different languages? You can see that they feel like they get filmed? And it is kinda uncomfortable for them?

If that's what you mean, yes it is tricky. Time is often too limited. And the directing skill on my/our side plays also a big role. Needs to be improved for sure.

The Brand - these videos are a great tool for getting a message across, but they are also a branding exercise. You should take every opportunity to flash the brand up.
Just to clarify, show the brand/logo more often? I thought about showing/mentioning the logo/company name at the beginning.

Thanks for your feedback already. That's what is needed to get better.

Very nice! This is a top-notch professional piece. Nice use of the dolly and jib. Good job!

Thanks Marlon!
