curious how solid of a lens it is...looking for a good versatile piece of glass, but don't want to spend the loot for an L lens. anyone??

figured.. thanks. i'm a fan of Tokina products. still eyeing the 11-16mm....one day!
100% Honest I think the Tokina 11-16mm is a good lens but not worth the price of admission. It's actually a little soft and that was a disappointment for me when I use it. Till this day one of my favorite lenses I have used is a 14mm Canon, just love the way it looks.

Tokina 11-16 and 16-50
The Timelapse was actually with the 11-16. Used an inexpensive 'made in China' timer on e-Bay. Shot the originals @ 2592x1728 and created the h.264 in FCP and used Motion to create the artificial zoom.Nice shot, very smooth all around. Which lens was used, timer etc, also how did you rig up the zoom?
