Anyone have any experience with this rig?

Looks like a Chicom nightmare. I can't imagine that:
- the follow focus would work reliably
- the single main support rod would remain stable
- the quality of build would be acceptable

...but who knows? I could be wrong on everything.

Looks like a nice tryout for that pricepoint. If it doesn't suit your needs, I am betting you could sell it "barely used" for near market price.

People have had issues with the post that the camera sits on in other variations of this setup. Might not be as bad with the GH2 because of the light weight, but it's still a cause

What sort of problems? Also do you know if the FF will work with GH2? I have a geared FF and it is difficult to use with Panny lenses.

It would either fall straight down or to the sides. The knobs couldn't be tightened enough.

Looks like the end of my last sentence above got cut off. Should've been "but it's still a cause for concern."

Yeah, I can't image it's ever going to stay stable with just one rail.... I'd bet it will constantly be falling to the sides.

The main reason Panasonic lenses are hard to use with FF is the proportional electronic focus mechanism; the amount focus is changed varies by the speed of the rotation.
