Too hot! or you could put in a 10dB Pad. See Shure for these.
And what about using Sennheiser G2 wireless systems with this camera? Will these present any problems?
And BTW the MKE66 is -66dB and would be great. Set your input value at -60dB.

Thanks for the good info Jan.
Any audio experts out there know if one can somehow use a series resistor or impedance matcher on the AT875R or on a mic that is too hot?
Well I even looked at the Sony site and all the ECM-6* series shotguns are in the -30db range. Here's the challenge then. Who can be first (?) to find a suitable third-party quality shortgun mic with:
or is Panasonic going to have to release a revised version of its MC200G? Jan?
- XLR connector
- -50/-60db sensitivity
- is under $300
- phantom power
sorry I missed that point I have been using them on a HVX 200 with no problem and I did not notice that there appears to be a sensitivity issue with the AF 100 bummer! I would expect Sony to have a sound issue on there low end "Pro camera" not Panasonic. Thanks Yak, but we're looking for a an insensitive mic in the -50db range that will match the specs of the AF100. That CS-1 is -30db and the CMS-10 is -26db in stereo and -30db in mono. Unfortunately, at this point we've yet to come up with a quality mic that will match the AF's specs without having to attenuate it, like we'd have to do with those Sankens. In fact, at this point I'm unsure of the sensitivity of even the MIC150.
