Greetings, everyone!
In all the discussion about lenses, the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 is a noted favorite. I finally bit the bullet and purchased one a few weeks ago, and I'm very glad that I did. However, I also saw the Tokina 35mm f2.8. Not much discussion about this lens, but if the glass in the 35mm is anything like the 11-16, especially for the price, it seems like this would be a worthy purchase. No, there's no aperture ring, but the 11-16 doesn't have that, either.
Anyway, does anyone out there have any experience (or better, shooting examples) with this? I found one VIDEO on Vimeo that was shot with this lens, but the entire thing is at super-shallow DOF/macro and, while the 35mm seems to do well in macro focus, it shows nothing of what else the lens can do or where it may be its sharpest.
Peace,
Alex
