My friend and I have been shooting a movie the past few weeks (after spending a month and a half building a period set). This footage turned out really well so I thought I'd share it. The music is just temporary to make it a bit more interesting, we are composing an original score for the movie when it's done. It's the track from Sin City when Hartigan walks into the bar.

what camera did u do this on cause u did mention HD is the a hvx200 footage ???? cause from prevous post i know u had a dvx100b if im correct .

qhy pay 300, dollars for andromeida stream when u could just seel you dvx and get atleast $ 2,500 and then take 3,00 3,500 to it and buy a hvx200 or if udont wanan deal with p2 a jvchd100u ????????????????????

Footage is looking good. Little "bump" on that dolly shot... but I'm sure you already noticed.

Wanna see more.
 
Footage looks good, but I'd have to agree, if it were me i'd rather put that extra 3000 into an hvx.

HVX vs. Andromeda is nothing more than a pissing contest; I like the look of Andromeda better and I like the workflow better anyway, which is why I got it.

Glad you like the footage though. :)
 
footage looks well sweet! nice. thanks for posting some andromeda footage. I was thinking it was such a great idea, but when i saw the price and thought that by the time I actually save enuff money to get one, the HVX will be at a decent price maybe cheaper (I could sell my DVX100b) or if not the HVX as u said u prefer the andromeda easy user-ability, then i can only imagine by then there will be other options for HD camera's in price ranges that beat installing the andromeda. Nevertheless... i'm still very very attached to my DVX and am NOT WILLING TO SELL, haha

how is the andromeda better than the HVX? what i'm getting from all this is that panasonic lied about the line/pixel count of the CCDs...how are you getting 1080 off a 720 chip? i'm not doubting the 4:4:4 uncompressed video, but this whole resizing thing is coming from the sculptorHD...that i understand and have no problem with, but to make the andromeda sound like it alone is doing the conversion...
