I found this short film on vimeo, shot on a 7d. If I had any doubts about the camera before now, they're all gone. I'm getting one!

Very interesting!
I was having fun being all into the epic nature of it - the slow walk effect was neat, the music was fulfilling, the background wipe was novel, they were together. Nice imagery, a couple of very slight moves that followed the romance.
And then 1:32. Sadly, that totally ruined it for me.
Without the effect, I think it could use some polish to really bring it up to its potential.

Not bad, i liked it, i dont agree, i think the effect was ok, i guess i will agree that less would have been more, in that they didnt need to use it quite as much, but its at least as good as something that would be on television.
I thought if anyhting the sound, sounded cheap, and was more distracting.
Good visuals though for sure, even if the story was a little obscure and artsy.

I'm sorry to say but i'm not remotely impressed by this video as it being an amazing "representation" of the 7d. quite frankly the shots didnt look that great to me from a visual quality standpoint.
Yes they did have a couple effects here and there (which to me were pretty cheese in themselves) but if you look at the slow mo shot with the background plate sped up, ignore ALL OF THAT and simply look at the faces...looks poor to me quite frankly. could have used some CC, skin tones looked VERY VERY "video" if you ask me.

Yeah quite corny, but with genuine motivation and some good concepts in there. I do like the costume choice to make them match, and the shot of them joining hands is really good and is much more emotionally stirring than the soul effect, the sped up BG was a good choice too, though I agree more color correction in the skin tones would help. I think what makes the souls thing even more weird is the angle, it's just awkward, maybe flip the shot upside or something, just go all the way weird with it.
