alternative to dvrack for mac?

Someone told me there is a new program, like DVrack made for mac...does anyone know the name...web address? Yes I know i can run DVrack on an intel mac...but I hate adding one more platform to my workflow.
While I'm at it...has anybody actualy beta tested the pcmcia card to express card adaptors...it seems like they will never be out?
 
There is another one for the mac as well which I can't remember the name of but it is listed on this site some place.
 
thanks kelly, that's probably the one that Red does...but it's not so great..and I think it doesn't work in HD

I think you might be referring to DV Monitor from Red Lightning Software. Unfortunately it has neither HD support nor any capturing capabilities. ScopeBox came out of nowhere and leaped right past DV Monitor, which has been around for awhile.
 
How long does it normally take to get the trial password to try out scopebox? I registered yesterday and still have not recieved the password to give the trial version a go. Anyone else have this problem ?
 
I downloaded the trial, and got the demo key right away. It looks pretty cool. I'm going to investigate my workflow a bit more and then decide if I need this solution, or if I will stick with an onboard monitor and my P2 cards. I wish these guys would sell there applications for slightly less money. I think the price should be around 299$. Same with DVrack..I bet they would increase their sales substantially.
 
for the moment my work flow is really different. Normally I shoot 35mm. I connect the video tap to my mac and capture video into imovie where I edit a rough cut as I shoot. But I do this on big commercials where I need to see whats going on really fast. When I shoot with my HVX I make compromises as I don't have the same size crew. I've been working with a couple of cheapie 7" screens. But we are not using the screens to focus because we are measuring and pulling by numbers. I like the idea of linking to a computer dedicated to the shoot...like a Macbook...not too expensive and a nice screen. In a way it's too bad you can't just edit in these programs...and I think FCP is just a bit too clumsy to work on the go...
So I'm thinking I would get scopebox, and a cheap onboard monitor. (and actually I'm tryng to figure out which one to buy too). I was thinking of he Varizoom...but I just don't see the point of buying an HD monitor...to stick on the camera...prefer to buy the extra macbook.
