All Hallows Fest

Ooh. This sounds interesting. I wonder if the title "All Hallows Fest" is really as unrestrictive as it sounds. It would be neat if the entries didn't have to be classified as "horror" so long as they were all in the spirit of Halloween.

Well, the spirit of Halloween isn't about horror. It's essentially about the day of the dead and the atmosphere.

Might not be this way, but almost feels like any story about someone in a costume at halloween time (Jack O Lanterns, etc) seems to fit the bill.

Spooky, Creepy, Eerie, Adventurous, Comedy... maybe it'll be an open fest but with a Halloween theme?

Funny Halloween Party?
 
Seems to me like it's going to be HorrorFest 2, but now they're making it an annual thing and calling it "All Hallows Fest".
 
Don't quote me on this as I'm also still waiting on details from Barry. But the way I understand it, zoidoid and Kholi are right.

It will be open genre, but have the requirement of being about halloween.

Of course, don't start building your entry based on this information, in case Barry changes it up before the official rules are posted. But that is how I understand this fest will be.

That's what I'm figurin'. Which is really cool because you can do Halloween Drama if you want.

Or Halloween Mockumentary...or Halloween Comedy...or Halloween Channel 5 Kung-fu extravaganza!!!! The choices! They're limitless!

Ooh, I should make a musical. Haha, afterall, I have a full production team in Ithaca, and we are a music conservatory. Haha, I've been wanting to do a musical for a while.

And I am totally entering this fest. (not just talk this time) haha.

Hey everyone, I'm game for helping out as DP, Writer, or Producer on one of these projects... I can't do an entire one myself, but I'm always game for teaming up...
 
Excellent! I love the theme. Halloween has always been my favorite!!! (even more so than Christmas... yeah, yeah... I was the kid that pretty much got socks and clothes. But of course, it's not about the gifts, right? Try telling that to an 8 year old!)

Seriously... very glad to hear this news! Awaiting the details!
