C300: Alan Roberts rates C300 II's HD @ Tier 1, & 4K @ Tier 2

For UHD Tier 1, a camera must have a minimum sensor pixel count of 3840 x 2160 in each of R & G & B. Every camera tested except the Sony F65 has thus far failed to reach this – mainly due to the limitations of using a Bayer-patterned sensor.

Actually, F65 shoots 17.6 MPX 4:2:2. To go full RGB, one needs 26.4 MPX (8.8x3). F65 gets 67% there, which is why Sony calls it Q67. Oddly enough, the new A6300 has a 20 MPX sensor that downconverts into 4K, making a $1,000 product the most advanced of all Sony pieces, at least, sensor wise. Visually, of course, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 is pretty much impossible to tell apart with a naked eye. Presumably, however, that difference will be covered with the upcoming C500 MKII and the new Sony F-series update anyway.

Some people says 4K brodcast is 60p but it seems Alan Robert is not worried about the lack of 4K 60p in the C300 mark 2. Somone know why?

4K 60p will eventually be the pipeline, but frame rates for content is still a creative choice. Very few things are shot in 60p and played back at 60p. In the US Most everything is displayed at 23.98 or 29.97 fame rates.
