The one that Barry had in the video with rails, lens and matte box looked frikkin' awesome. Nobody would confuse it with a handycam or consumer grade camera. No DSLR either. I think it looks much better pimped out than any DSLR ever could.

I actually loved the look of the Fairchild Cinephonic 8mm sound camera when I was a kid perusing Popular Photography magazine....the photos were intended as an homage and flattery!

At first I thought it looked a little strange, but then again, so did the DVX and the HVX too.

After awhile, and after owning the DVX and shooting some footage here and there with a friend's HVX, I got over the look of the actual camera designs not being what we are used to with Canon and Sony cameras.

I'm really starting to warm to the AF100's design. And when pimped out with larger lenses (zooms) and accessories it is gonna look great from an "I gotta impress my talent and clients" perspective.

Oh man, the CP-16 was a fly weight... I had the dubious honor of shooting handheld with an Arri 16BL for a day... now that still puts creaks in my back.
