I have a Panny DVX100A. I have an offer to trade it plus $800 for an XH-A1. Would you say this is a decent trade?

I have seriously considered getting a t21 or gh1 dslr, but I keep coming back to the xh-a1. I had a XL1, and I like the canon controls, etc..

Is it XH-A1 (XH-A1a) or XH-A1s? There're some flaw in XH-A1 in 30F mode (slow focus, scrolling pattern while zoom and pan in 30F).

If you shoot 60i most of the time, that would be alright I think.

What scrolling pattern do you speak of? I shoot pretty much exclusively in 30F and haven't had any problems.

it's really hard to explain. It happens in 30F when I zoom out and pan slowly at the same time. Then I will see the scrolling pattern. I checked the demo unit at a local video store. It shows the same pattern.

On top of that, the slow focus in 30F is bad too.

Both issues are fixed in XH-A1s.
