Advice needed RE: loud engines, vibrations

Has anyone shot a 7D or t2i video in close proximity to loud engines like a harley davidson
or high performance motorbikes revving?

Concerned about dropped frames – please post your experiences.

(even loud machinery or real gunfire experiences very welcome)

wait...these cameras drop frames? thought that was only the case with tape? Interesting..u live and learn.

But why would the noise level casue you to drop frames? thought u'd be more concerned with audio.

I don't know if they drop frames, that's what I'm trying to find out.

Scared to find out about drop frames or other problems when on set with client.

I've shot 900HP muscle cars in a dino room where I needed ear muffs with no problems. I would say you're safe.

I've had some rolling shutter effects from loud vibrations/motors, but no dropped frames.
