Adorama rep: "we receive 7D on October 1st."

I ordered my 7D a few days ago, and they called me today to say that they're recieving their 7D shipment on October 1st, which will then be shipped to customers the following day - October 2nd.

Just thought I'd share.

How long ago is 'a few days ago'?
I assume they called to say you would be receiving on of those first shipments?

Just trying to figure out how far down that list I might be.

I think we both know that, sometime in November, you'll still be borrowing mine or JDS's 7D, so just quit pretending that you even put in a pre-order, okay?

Actually - I went a bit crazy - I have two preorders floating out there.
As soon as I hear one of them shipped I'm going to cancel the other... and just hope they don't both come through on the same day.

Yes! This is great news actually. I ordered from Adorama and was a bit worried, because I had it shipped to my brother's house. They'll be coming up for the Canadian Thanksgiving the following week but probably will leave around the 5th or 6th...if this is true, I'll actually be able to get my camera that week!

Really excited about that...just have to ensure that I can find the Zacuto Rapid Fire here, or find out what kind of customs charges I'll be facing if I order it from Chicago.

Ha! Lightweight! I have 3 pre-orders out there! But honestly I was a bit late in getting my orders in, about a week behind the big initial pre-order, so I'm not too worried about getting more than one pre-order filled on the exact same day. If it happens I'll be putting one up on ebay, 'cause you know there's gonna be a demand out there. :)
 
If you tell anyone where that new pre-order is going in, I'll have to come to your house and f*ck you up. And you know I'll do it.

I ordered from Amazon but haven't heard anything. Of course, I haven't called them either. Do you think I should bug them about it?
