Below are some cheap additions to the T2i I've gotten and would like to share:

Silicon case (Haven't received yet)

Nikon -> EOS adapter (Was very surprised to the build quality)

Cheap Batteries (Haven't received yet, but got good reviews)

Screen Protector (Haven't received yet)

16GB Class 10 SDHC (I trust RiData for their quality of products, no failures yet)

Don't spend too much for that stuff!

Any other cheap finds out there?

good find on the silicone body cover- I might pick one of those up. The description cracked me up "made of tenacious natural material" :)

I believe it's tenacious, but I doubt it's "natural" material.

Re: the lcd protector- I bought one of those. You will need to trim off a tiny bit of each corner to peventair from creeping in, as the 550d's screen corners are more rounded then the protector is.

I have two cheap batteries that work perfectly, and i'm using A-Data Class 10, 16 gig cards that work perfectly as well. The Lilliput monitor that i bought from a DVXuser here in the marketplace is a great affordable monitoring solution. $200 shipped.

That silicone case looks great, i'm gonna grab one as well.

Nice touch on the all natural silicon case. I've got the Adata class 6 32gb card that works great. I've done lots of all day shoots and have not needed to dump during the day.

It may look cool and all but I wonder if the silicon case will contribute to a tenacious tendency for the camera to overheat.

It might not have dual digic processors, but from what I'm hearing - the T2i is overheating as commonly, if not more so than the 7D. I wouldn't want to add a case, or anything else that might contribute to retaining heat if I were you. Though, I do understand why you'd have one - I have one for an old XTi and it worked great, when I only used it for photography (nice piece of mind).

it's $20, so if it ends up having a detrimental effect on the performance of the camera its not much of a loss.

It does work, I find it easier and more accurate than using a piece of white paper. Probably not 100% as accurate as a grey card but, then again, I've never measured the two against one another. Pretty simple to use and good in a pinch if you need to measure out a custom white balance.

I got all these items shipped to Canada in less than 12 days, very fast indeed.

If you are attaching a mic, wireless receiver, audio recorder, etc. to your camera and don't go the cage route check out my J-Cube bracket. It will allow you to mount 3 accessories on an HDSLR in a compact well balanced package. I also have a few other goodies like screen protectors and 1/4-20 to hot shoe adapters.

The whole 3 mount thing looks cool, but to me, that looks like your hot shoe being ripped off, just waiting to happen.

I prefer to have my items mounted off the camera..just me, but that looks cool.

Yeah, I was about to say the exact same thing. It is cool and it looks cool and it's probably useful, but that just looks like too much weight being put on that hotshoe.

The whole set up with mic and receiver weighs the same as a Canon speedlight 580EX, which is designed to mount on the hot shoe.

I have never had any complaints about that-only praise. I use The J-CUBE in a run-n-gun situation myself and never had a problem.

I got an extra battery when I picked up the T2i... for $90 :(

Should've been smarter and got batteries off ebay instead, oh well, lesson learned and now I know better. However, I did save the difference in the other items I just picked up (instead of buying retail) and I found out the g-raid 4TB drive I ordered was reduced by $90 too, so it all evened out in the end.
