AC90: Ac-90

Match the Ac90 in what way?

AFAIK no DSLR has XLR inputs. Neither to DSLR's have the same ergonomics, you are going to need a rig of some sort and a method of connecting professional sound to the DSLR.

I interpret the question to mean ... Which DSLR will match up well when used with with the AC90. I use the Panasonic GH3 with the AC90 but I would be interested also in peoples experience in colour matching this combination. They both shoot 1080 50P which is great.

I use my AC-90 with a GH2 and GH1. Honestly, I have a very difficult time matching them. It isn't overly difficult to match color in daylight settings but as soon as you get into mixed lighting situations, DSLR's and the AC-90 will behave very differently. The biggest issue for me is different aesthetics between the two types of cameras. For low light stuff, people are used to seeing a shallow depth of field (common for DSLR work). That doesn't mean they'll reject a deep depth of field (AC-90), but when you mix the two types of footage, the AC-90's stuff sticks out like a sore thumb.

So the color balance of the GH2 is that much different from the AC90? Brands typically have a look, much like broadcast stations.

I too will eventually be looking into matching something up with my AC90. I know the Canons don't look anything like the 90.
