A7s sample footage

Hi guys, my first vid shot on a7s,
i had only 16gb card, so no slog,
setup was: metabones mk3, canon 28-135 is
for me its a beast comparing to 5d2/3

The first piece I've shot with the a7s where I had time to set up everything properly (everything else so far was run-and-gun or hurried up).
I'm loving this little camera. The image is sharp and detailed, and even though we shot in some difficult conditions (in the shade, with sunlit background) the image came out fine (the sky was hazy that day, so the lack of blueness is just natural).

(careful, that K-pop song will get in your head)

lol if you had time to set up everything than why film in those conditions? it sure as hell could use some skies... color vignettes? some light leaks? childish stock mo graph?vignettes at all? the first shot is just begging to be darkened on bottom of the frame :) maybe it's just me :D my every shot has a minimum of 3 secondaries.

to be clear guys i know its vertical and ive shot it on purpose
imho it give some nice dynamics to shots, and make this vid more about image and colour than partying
it was a vid for my friends, so i had free hand it wasnt my first vid at all:
some of the rest (from 5d2 is here)

Hehe, well, "I had time to set up everything properly" actually means that this time, for a change, I could afford to change lenses and filters :)
It was only me and the talent, and only available lighting. And we got kicked out of the place after 3 hours shooting.
I'm not a pro, I'm just having fun... (though tomorrow I'll be shooting something for which I will get paid, and it's for a major gaming studio, which I guess makes me sort-of-a-pro; but it's still mainly just for the fun).

And yes, I have to improve my color grading skills. There's only one secondary in the whole video.

Very nice Brandon. I think it's exelent colors, the image really pops.

Last week I made a film for the 48hour.
Nominated for best cinematography.
Shot in SLOG.

Very nice colors Brandon, one of the best I've seen shot with A7s online. Which LUTs did you use from Impulz?

Joost, I enjoyed your mini movie. I would have nominated it too :) What equipment did you use to record sound?

Thanks visata, I used Rec709 Fuji Superior 200 FC on an adjustment layer over my initial corrections. I also found that boosting the mids saturation while reducing highs and lows created a pleasing amount of saturation for some reason.

Great to hear visata. For sound i used the sehnheiser g3 lav and boomed with the rode gt2. All in the sony xlr adapter on 2 tracks.

I really like the hallway shots and the opening. Skin tones still seem to have some of that pesky s-log yellow. I don't understand why you flipped the shot at 3:37?
