I'm currently viewing on an iPad. From this screen, view one looks solid. View 2 feels a little "canon dslr" like.

How are you liking the image from the A7s compared to the MK3 raw?

In terms of image, with the right glass and grading technique I feel the a7s is as good as the raw. Definitely much better range and that's a plus. In terms of colour, I feel I can probably get any look I want with the raw (makes sense) but if shot correctly, the a7s has a really good base in slog. In terms of usability, well I've always dreaded using MK3 raw and the a7s just inspires me to go out and film... !

I love this. Perfect.

Thanks everyone. It's been a challenge to get a look i like. I have tried so many different things both in camera and in post. Once I thought I had something, I would be thrown a different way. After posting that one I tried some other stuff and I think I finally came up with a way that works for me. What I have done in camera and then a quick fix in post brings it to a level that then allows Grade to taste/mood, to a point of course. I'll be posting some video soon. Just want to thank everyone on here, yal have been very helpful, it's felt like it's own little community with the A7s I love it.

Natural light only, except 2:57 and 3:01 plans. Iso from 3200 to 40 000.
Thanks for great Slog2 PicPro from Kholi.
Sony a7s and Carl Zeiss 28-85mm f/3.3-4.0 Contax. Pocket Dolly.
FCPX and Davinci, Lut Fuji 3510.

There is a line somewhere in the A7S documentation stating that "S-Gamut" is not really S-Gamut and only partially covers it. So it is not a surprise that S-Gamut tuned LUTs or software or whatever aren't working exactly as expected.
For anyone finding footage too green I'd suggest the Movie color mode. It is a bit offset towards magenta on the G-M axis compared to the other modes.

Pretty sure it says the same thing in the F5 documentation though, full S-Gamut is for the F55/F65 I think.

Both look good to me. The first one is probably closer to what I imagine reality was and the second one has that warm Canon-ish skin tone that is pleasing but also a bit overboard to my taste.
