"A Verse Before Dying" - AF-100 Western Short

Ahh, okay, thanks for the clarification on the lens. I've been waiting for Sigma's 85mm F1.4 and got the Bower to hold me over, but still nothing from Sigma. When I've talked to them, the dates have come and gone that they quoted me.

It is probably the Samyang lens, sold under 100 brand names: Bower, Sigma, Falcon, Opteka, Phoenix, Pro-optic..... you pick one up, they have no problem. Having said that, they are really worth a look.

Got to hang and have drinks with Timur last night. He gave me all the dirt on this production. Apparently, Luis Caffesse SNORES. And that's on the set. Ba-dum-bum.

and do you have that awesome motorbike that he rides in the movies......That could save anyone from the long traffic Jams.....

Could we get your feedback the follow focuses you used?

How did Shoot35 do VS RedRock? Any input would be appreciated. What is your preference?

Thanks!

Finishing up the rough cut of the film tonight, then headed to Minneapolis for color work and finishing. I'm hoping to have more news on Monday as to when and where you all can see the film.

Stay tuned!

For us people that are stuck at home, any way we'll be able to see it over the net? :) It looks fantastic and I really cannot wait to see the whole thing. :)

Just a quick update for those paying attention at home…

We're wrapping up the offline edit, in the fabulous edit suites of Austin's 1080. We've just looked at two scenes on their high-end, color-accurate Cine-Tal LCD monitor, and I laughed out loud. It looks absolutely amazing! The tech assistant asked where we had the footage color-corrected, and I had to tell him he was looking at raw footage!

Man, I wish you guys (and gals, if there are any here) could see what I'm seeing.

Nice! Well given my camera gets here in less than a month, hopefully I'll be having those same feelings of elation soon enough! :)

Minneapolis? Nice! Who are you finishing with up here? Pixel Farm by chance?
