"A Verse Before Dying" - AF-100 Western Short

I THINK I've FOUND SOMETHING!

either that or i'm starting to hallucinate from lack of sleep..

Stephen: that last cut of the trailer you just posted on Vimeo looks awesome. Folks are going to love it, when you post the finished version out to the masses.

dick.

there is actually a smiley face the same color as the background right after the word dick so that it diffuses the insult into a wink wink, nudge nudge style. But alas, the smiley is difficult to see, similarly to the trailer :P

Trailer is in process, guys. Thanks for the patience. We're just trying to make sure that it looks as amazing when you see it as it does on our end, which means sorting through the various compression settings and all that. Stay tuned, friends.

I sometimes can spend an entire day doing proper compression. There is no such thing as a general setting that works for every clip. Good luck guys.... I look forward to the trailer!

C'mon guys!

A person can only excessively salivate for 2-3 hours before it becomes socially unacceptable. I've been asked to go home early.

Let's see that awesome trailer...

It's only about 45 seconds long, but they're 45 glorious seconds! :D

Seriously, sorry it's taking so long, guys. I want to make sure it's as perfect as it can be before you guys see it. But I think you'll be pleased…

…and there's a helicopter shot in it, to boot.

Don't worry we understand..........up to a point...because this is starting to smell...Have you actually filmed a short movie??? or did you go to the location and just grab some pictures playing with the gear to make us believe you were filming....... hahaha

Seriously, guys. Thanks for the patience. I'm sure you all understand just how crucial it is to make this as perfect as it can be for public consumption.

And because you're all being so cool about this, I'll let you in on something else…

I asked our DP, Timur Civan, to sketch out our major lighting setups used throughout the film. He graciously agreed, and I'll be posting those over the next few days, along with frame grabs to show the results. Personally, I know being able to see how lights and lighting tools were combined and placed is a great help in understanding just how a look was crafted. So I hope you guys get as much out of this information as I did having been on set and seen it.

Cheers!
